Best Practice, A Carbon Neutral Hotel

The fabulous Falls Hotel and Spa situated in the beautiful Cliffs of Moher and Burren UNESCO Geopark is leading the way towards a greener future and have been working towards this for several years now. They were thrilled to receive their GreenMark Carbon Neutral12 Cert from Green Hospitality Ireland. They are the first hotel in the country to generate their own electricity through hydro power from the river that runs alongside the hotel, this combined with the planting of hundreds of trees on the grounds of the hotel, changing over to BioLPG gas along with many other initiatives have reduced the hotels carbon emissions by 90% in five years.
